x + square root of x [ to the power 2] +1= a. then find the value of x . please fast

x+√x^2+1=a
√x^2+1=a-x
square on both sides
x^2+1=a^2+x^2-2ax
1=a^2-2ax
2ax=a^2-1
x=(a^2-1)/2a
