The answer is given below :

The given equations are

x = t² + 2 .....(i)

and

y = 2t .....(ii)

From (ii), we get

t = y/2

Now, putting t = y/2 in (i), we get

x = (y/2)² + 2

=> x = y²/2² + 2

=> x = y²/4 + 2

=> 4x = y² + 8

=> y² = 4x - 8

=> y² = 4(x - 2)

So, the required rational equation of the parabola is

y² = 4(x - 2).
