let speed of X be = x km/hr
and speed of Y = y km/hr
A/Q 30/y + 3 = 30/x
and 30/y - 3/2 = 30/2x
now put 1/x= p and 1/y = q
so equations become
30q + 3 = 30p ⇒ 10p-10q = 1......(1)
and 30q - 3/2 = 15p ⇒ 10q - 1/2 = 5p⇒ 20q - 1 = 10 p ⇒ 20q -10 p = 1....(2)
solving (1) and (2) gives p =3/10 and q = 1/5
so x = 10/3 km/hr y = 5 km/hr
