y=3 for x=1

To Find:

Value of x for y=4

Solution:

x varies inversely as square of y, so we can say x=\frac{n}{y^2} .

putting, y=3 for x=1 in the above equation.

1=\frac{n}{3^{2} }

n=9

Now, for y=4,

x=\frac{9}{4^{2} }

x=\frac{9}{16}

So, the value of  x= 9/16 for y=4.
