squaring on both sides ,

 \large \sf {x}^{2} = x + 2 \: \: \: = > {x}^{2} - x - 2 = 0

 \large \sf {x}^{2} - (2 - 1)x - 2 = 0

 \large \sf {x}^{2} - 2x + x - 2 = 0

 \large \sf x(x + 1) - 2(x + 1) = 0

 \large \sf (x + 1)(x - 2) = 0

 \tt \color{blue}{zeros \: \: \: are }\: \: : \\ \\ \\ \sf x + 1 = 0 \implies \: \: x = - 1 \\ \\ \sf x - 2 = 0 \implies \: \: x = 2
