Mean of the 6 observations ;

11 = (x)+(x+2)+(x+4)+(x+6)+(x+6)+(x+8)/6
66 = 6x+26
6x = 40
x = 40/6
x = 20/3

Mean of the first three observation
= (x)+(x+2)+(x+4)/3
= (3x+6)/3

Mean = {[3×(20/3)]+8}/3
= (20+8)/3
= 9.33

mysticd: u did a mistake , not entered x+4
mysticd: x+4 not entered
shashankawasthi: ya
SARDARshubham: now, I've corrected it !!
shashankawasthi: so what will be the ans mr. shubham
mysticd: u did a mistake again ,
mysticd: check the mean of three terms

mean = (sum of terms)/(number of observations)
(x+x+2+x+4+x+6+x+6+x+8)/6=11
6x+26=66
6x=66-26
6x=40
x=40/6=20/3---(1)
2)mean of first 3 terms =(x+x+2+x+4)/3
=(3x+6)/3
=3(x+2)/3
=x+2
=(20/3)+2 from (1)
=(20+6)/3
=26/3

mysticd: charging is low in my mobile. plz , wait if u have any doubt
