x*x+2x=45

=>x²+2x-45=0

we know that,

x=[-b±√b²-4ac]÷4a

Now value of x is

x=[-2±√2²-4.1.(-45)]÷4.1

x=[-2±√4+180]÷4

x=[-2±√184]÷4

x=[-2±2√46]÷4

x=[-1±√46]÷2

Hence, the value of x are

x=[-1+√46]÷2 or x=[-1-√46]÷2
