Hi

Here is your answer mate...

x^2 + 6x + 8 = 0

By splitting the middle terms,

x^2 + 4x + 2x +8 = 0

( By adding middle terms we should get 6x and by multiplying middle terms we should get 8)

Then take common.

x(x+4) +2(x+4) = 0

(x+4)(x+2) = 0

x+4 = 0
x = - 4

x + 2 = 0
x = -2

Therefore the solutions are -4, -2.

Hope it helps U.. :)

x(x+4) +2(x+4) = 0

(x+4)(x+2) = 0

x+4 = 0

x = - 4

x + 2 = 0

x = -2
