hi.. a very easy question.. Just use the knowledge of quadratic formula..

Step-by-step explanation:

x²+8x-10

now using quadratic formula where a=1 ,b=8 ,c = -10

b²-4ac=D

64+40 = D   [ putting the values of a, b ,c]

104 > 0    

the roots of this equation is real as they are D > 0

therefore, the roots are gven by,

x = -b±√D/2a

x= (-8 + 2√26)/2    [ √102=√4×26=2√26]

x= -4 + √26    [taking 2 as common]

and when √D is -ve

x = (-8 - 2√26)/2

x =  -4 - √26

therefore the factors are x=  -4 + √26   & -4 - √26

The point to be noted is that i have used quadratic formula because splitting up of middle term was not possible .
