Concept:

Two expressions are combined by an equal sign to form a mathematical statement known as an equation. A linear equation is a two-variable equation that, when plotted on a graph, results in a straight line. When values are replaced for the unknown values in linear equations' solutions, the equation is proved to be true. There is only one solution when there is only one variable.

Types of Equation:

Linear equations

Quadratic equations

Cubic equations

Quartic equations

Differential equations

Parametric equations

Given:

We have given an equation: x-x/9-x/12-x/36=56

Find:

We have to solve the equation: x-x/9-x/12-x/36=56

Solution:

Given equation: x-x/9-x/12-x/36=56

x-x/9-x/12-x/36=56

Let's take LCM of 9, 12, and 36 to make the denominator 1.

36x -4x - 3x - x= 56x 36

                28x= 2016

                     x= 72

Hence, the value of "x" is 72.
