Given: x(x-a)-y(y-a)

=> x2 - ax - y2 - ay

=> x2 - y2 - a(x + y) | We know : x2 - y2 = (x + y)(x - y)

=>(x + y)(x - y) - a(x + y)

=> (x + y)( x - y - a)
