Given : |x|=-x if x <0

To find : its true or False

Step-by-step explanation:

|x|=-x if x <0

its true

as | x |   always return + ve  value

and its given x  < 0

Hence x is  - ve

so to make -ve number + ve we need to multiply it with - 1

Hence  - x  = | x |  if  x < 0

| x |  = x    if  x ≥ 0

 & | x |  = -x    if  x <  0

example

| - 5 |  = 5

here x = - 5

x < 0  => | x | = - x

Hence    -x  = -(-5)  =  5   = | - 5|

|x|=-x if x <0

its true
