Answer:

x = -2/7

The additive inverse of x = -2/7 is -x = 2/7 as (-2/7) + 2/7 = 0

The same equality 2/7 + (-2/7) = 0 , shows that the additive inverse of 2/7 is -2/7 or  -(2/7) = -2/7 i.e. -(-x) = x
