Answer :

x = 4/3 , y = 4/3

Solution :

Here ,

The given equations are ;

x - y = 0 -------(1)

2x - 5y = -4 --------(2)

Using eq-(1) , we have ;

=> x - y = 0

=> x = y --------(3)

Putting x = y in eq-(2) , we get ;

=> 2x - 5y = -4

=> 2y - 5y = -4

=> -3y = -4

=> y = -4/-3

=> y = 4/3

Using eq-(3) , we have ;

=> x = y

=> x = 4/3

Hence ,

x = 4/3 , y = 4/3

Given :-

x-y=0. ....(1)

2x-5y=-4. .....(2)

From equation (1)

x-y=0

x=y. ......(3)

Putting the value of x in equation (2)

2x-5y=-4

2(y)-5y=-4

2y-5y=-4

-3y=-4

y =  \frac{ 4}{3}

Now, Putting the value of y in equation (3)

x=y

x =  \frac{4}{3}

Therefore,

x =  \frac{4}{3}  \\ y =  \frac{4}{3}
