Firstly let us assume,

⇒ x + y = 0 as Equation 1

⇒ 2x - y = 9 as Equation 2

Now let us put x = 0 in Equation 1

⇒ x + y = 0

⇒ 0 + y = 0

⇒ y = 0

⟹ We get 0 as value of y

  • Henceforth, the coordinates we get are (0,0)

Now let us put y = 0 in Equation 1

⇒ x + y = 0

⇒ x + 0 = 0

⇒ x = 0

⟹ We get 0 as value of x

  • Henceforth, the coordinates we get are (0,0)

Now let's put x = 0 in Equation 2

⇒ 2x - y = 9

⇒ 2(0) - y = 9

⇒ 0 - y = 9

⇒ -y = 9

⇒ y = -9

⟹ We get -9 as value of y

  • Henceforth, the coordinates we get are (0,-9)

Now let us put y = 0 in Equation 2

⇒ 2x - y = 9

⇒ 2x - 0 = 9

⇒ 2x = 9

⇒ x = 9/2

⇒ x = 4.5

⟹ We get 4.5 as value of x

  • Henceforth, the coordinates we get are (4.5,0)

They intersect at (3,-3)
