Quadrant II and quadrant IV.

Step-by-step explanation:

Given x + y = 0

So y = 0-x

Let's take some co-ordinates to check the graph. We will take both negative and positive values.

Let x be 3, 5, -1, -4, 1

Then y will be -3, -5, 1, 4, -1

So the co-ordinates will be (3, -3), (5,-5), (-1,1), (-4,4) and (1, -1)

If we plot a graph and join the above co-ordinates, the line will pass through the quadrant II and quadrant IV.

(3, -3), (5,-5) and (1, -1) lies in quadrant IV

(-1,1), (-4,4) lies in quadrant II

When x is zero, y is also zero. So the line will pass through the origin at (0,0)

Please refer to the picture to know where the quadrants lie.
