From equation 1.

-x + y = 1

y = 1 + x ....... eq. (3)

now, equation 2.

3x-2y = 3

by putting the value of y from eq. 3.

________________

we get ,

3x - 2×(1+x) = 3

3x - 2 - 2x = 3 \\ 3x - 2x = 3 + 2 \\ x = 5

so

x = 5

now,

 - x + y = 1 \\  - 5 + y = 1 \\ y = 6

so
