x-y=1 and xy=12. then , find (x+y)​

Answer:

given - x - y = 1 and xy = 12

then , xy = 12

= y = 12/ x

putting the value of y in x - y = 1

then, x - 12/ x = 1

x^2 - 12/ x =1..........[ ( x/1 ) × x]

x - 12 = 1

x = 12 + 1

x = 13

now by putting value of x = 13 in x - y = 1

= 13 - y = 1

= - y = 1 - 13

= -y = - 12

= y = 12

now x + y = 13 + 12 = 25
