Answer:

prove (x+y)^-1(x^-1+y^-1)=1/xy

given

(x+y)^-1(x^-1+y^-1)=1/xy

1/x+y*1/x+1/y

1/x+y*(after doing LCM) y+x/x*y or xy

x+y and y+x will be cancelled

we are left with:

1/x*y or else 1/xy.
