here, equation(i)=x+y=11

equation (ii)=2x-3y=7

substitute the eq (ii) and eq(i)

x+y=11(multiply the both sides by -2)

2x-3y=7

=-2x-2y=-22

2x-3y=7

=-5y=-15

=y=15/5

y=3

finding x by using equation (i)

x+y=11

x+3=11

x=11-3

=7
