x+y=14 .........(1)

x-y=4.............(2)

(1) + (2)

x+y= 14

x-y = 4

2x = 18

x = 9

Substituting X's value in (2)

9 - y = 4

y = 9 - 4

y = 5

ANSWER : x = 9 and y = 5
