Hii There!!

Let the given equations be equation 1 ) and 2 ) and solving them by elimination method we get ;

That is,

x + y = 15 -------1)

x - y = 1 -------2)

____________
2x = 16

or x = 16/2

=> x = 8

Now, putting value of 'x' in eq.2) we get ;

x - y = 1

=> 8 - y = 1

or y = 7

Hey friend..!! here's your answer
_________________________

x + y = 15 __________(1)
x - y = 1 ___________(2)

From eq. 1

x = 15 - y ___________(3)

Put the value of eq. 3 in eq 2

15 - y - y = 1
-2y = - 14
y = 7

Put the value of y in equation 3

x = 15 - 7
x = 8

So that the value of x is 8 and the value of y is 7
