Answer:

x:y = 2:3

let x be 2k.

y= 3k

5x+7y/2x+3y

= 5(2k)+7(3k)/2(2k)+3(3k)

= 10k+21k/4k+9k

= 31k/13k

= 31:13

Answer: 31/13

Step-by-step explanation:

Given that x : y = 2 : 3

To find : 5x + 7y / 2x + 3y  ........................................(1)

ie,  x      =        2

      y                 3

∴ x = 2y/3    .................................................................(2)

Substituting (2) in (1)

= 5 × 2y/3 + 7y/ 2 × 2y/3 + 3y

= 10y/3 + 7y / 4y/3 + 3y

= 10y/3 + 21y/3 / 4y/3 + 9y/3

= 31y/3 / 13y/3

= 31y/13y

= 31/13
