Question :-

Factories it .

 </p><p> ↪  \sf  {(x + y)}^{2}  - 4xy</p><p>

Answer :-

 \implies \sf (x - y)(x - y) \: or \:  {(x - y)}^{2}

Solution :-

We have

 \to  \sf \: {(x + y)}^{2}  - 4xy \\  \\  \because \sf (a + b)^{2}  =   {a}^{2} +  {b}^{2}   + 2ab \\  \\  \therefore \:  \\  \\  \to \sf  {x}^{2}  +  {y}^{2}  + 2xy   -  4xy \\  \\  \to \sf  {x}^{2}  - xy \:  - xy +  {y}^{2}  \\  \\  \to \sf x(x - y) - y(x - y) \\  \\  \to \sf \: (x - y)(x - y) \\  \\  \to \sf {(x - y)}^{2}
