Answer: the value of x, y is {3, 1}

Step-by-step explanation:

Known :

x = y + 2

y = 2x - 5

Settlement:

The substitution method is by inserting one of the variable equations into other variable equations

y = 2x - 5

y = 2 (y + 2) - 5

y = 2y + 4 - 5

y = 2y - 1

y - 2y = - 1

-y = -1

y = 1

x = y + 2

x = 1 + 2

x = 3

So the value of x, y is {3, 1}

Hope it helps ✌

hey mate here is your answer

x=y+2......(1)
y=2x-5.......(2)

so by substituting (2) in (1)

X=2x-5+2
X=3

so put X in (2)
we get

y=2(3)-5
y=1

(X,y)=(3,1)

hope it will help you
