SOLUTION :-

There are two term given x and \sqrt{y}.

So we have to multiply the terms given again to itself to get the solution.

 {(x \sqrt{y})}^{2}

 = (x \sqrt{y}) \times (x \sqrt{y})

 =  {x}^{2} y

☞ The power (or exponent) of a number says how many times to use the number in a multiplication.

☞ If the power is two then it means we have multiply it with itself one more time.
