Hii There!!

______________________________

We will solve this equation by Elimination method

x + y = 20--------1)
x - y = 10---------2)

Adding equation 1) and 2)

Now, cancel +y and -y we get

=)2x = 30

=) x = 15

Now substitute the value of 'x' in any of the equation either in 1) or 2)

I will substitute in equation 1)

So, x + y =20

=) 15 + y =20

=) y = 5

So, value of x is 15 and value of y is 5.

Answer:

x=15 and y=5 are the solutions of the given equations

Step-by-step explanation:

Given Equations are   x+y =20   x-y=10

adding both given equations we get

2x=30

 then x = 15

substituting x=15 in x+y = 20

15+y = 20

y = 5

here x=15 and y=5 are the solutions of the given equations.

Proof

substituting x=15 and y=5 in x+y=20

15+5=20

20=20

LHS=RHS
