Answer:

We know :

x+y=2019

(-1)^x+(-1)^y

=(-1)^(x+y)                          // since the bases are the same

(-1)^2019=-1

If the power of -1 is even then the result will be +1 .

If the power of -1 is odd then the result will be -1.
