Step-by-step explanation:

Given

  • X - Y = - 3
  • 3X+ Y = - 1

To find

  • Value of X and Y

Solution

  • X - Y = - 3 ---- (Equation 1)
  • 3X + y = -1 ---- (Equation 2)

On adding both equation we get

⟹ 3X+X = -3-1

⟹ 4X = -4

 \sf \implies \: x = \bf\dfrac{4}{ - 4} \rightarrow - 1

Putting X = - 1 in (equation 1)

⟹ -1 -y = -3

⟹ -1 +3 = Y

⟹ Y = 2

  \sf \bf{\huge \therefore} \: Value \: of \: X \: is \: -1 \: and \: value \: of \: Y \: is \: 2
