x−y=3-----(1)

 \frac{x}{3}  +  \frac{y}{2}  = 6 -  -  -  -  - (2)

Find the value of x from equation and substitute in equation (2).

x=3+y

Now

 \frac{3x + y}{3}  +  \frac{y}{2}  = 6

 \frac{6 + 2y + 3y}{6}  = 6

 \implies \:  \frac{6 + 5y}{6}  = 6

⇒6+5y=36⇒5y=36−6=30

y =  \frac{30}{5}  = 6

and x=3+y=3+6=9

The value of x is 9 and the value of y is 6.
