x+y=4 ~eq1

x-2y=1

x=2y+1

Substitute x value in equation 1

2y+1+y=4

3y=4-1

3y=3

y=1

Now substitute y value to get x

x=2(1)+1

x=3

Therefore, x=3 and y=1

x=4-y

now,1(4-y)-2y=1.

4-y-2y=1.

-3y=1-4.

y=-3/-3=1.

now,x=4-(1)

x=4-1=3.
