Given:

• x+y = 4

• 2x+3y= 6.

To find :

• x and y.

Solution:

• x+ y = 4

=> x = 4 - y

put x in :

• 2x + 3y = 6

=> 2 (4-y)+3y = 6

=> 8 - 2y +3y = 6

=> y = 6 - 8

=> y = -2 .

Now, put y in x+y= 4.

=> x+(-2)= 4

=> x - 2 = 4

=> x = 4+2

=> x= 6.

Hence, the value of x is 6 and y is -2.

GivEn :-

Two Equations x + y = 4 and 2x + 3 y = 6

To FinD :-

  • The Value of x and y

SoluTiOn :-

 \bold{ \pink{x + y = 4}{} }{}  \\

Here x = 4 - y

 \bold{ \purple{Put \: The \: Value \: of \: x \: in \: 2x + 3y = 6}{} }{}

We get That,

2(4 - y) + 3y = 6 \\  \\ 8 - 2y - 3y = 6 \\  \\ y = 6 - 8 \\  \\ y =  - 2

 \bold{ \purple{Put \: The \: Value \: of \: x \: in \: x + y = 4}{} }{}

x +  ( - 2) = 4 \\  \\ x = 4 + 2 \\  \\ x = 6

 \boxed{ \bold{ \red{★Hence \: x = 6 \: and \: y =  - 2}{} }{} }{}
