Question -

x+y=5 and 2x-3y=4 by elimination method by equating the co-efficient method.

Solution -

x + y = 5 \:  \: ...(1) \\ 2x - 3y  = 4 \:  \: ...(2)

Multiply by 2 in equation (1),

2x + 2y = 10 \:  \: ...(3)

Subtract equation (2) from equation (3),

 =  > 5y = 6

 =  >  \boxed{y =  \frac{5}{6} }

Now put the value of y in equation (1),

  \longmapsto x +  \frac{5}{6}  = 5

  \longmapsto \: x = 5 -  \frac{5}{6}

  \longmapsto \boxed{ x =  \frac{25}{6} }
