by elimination method,

let,

x-y=5 ---(1)

3x+2y=25 ---(2)

multiplying (1) from 3,

3x-3y=15 ---(3)

subtracting (3) from (2),

3x + 2y = 25

(-)3x - 3y = 15

(-) (+) (-)

0 + 5y = 10 ---(4)

------------------------

from (4)

y=10/5

y=2

so, from (1),

x=y+5

x=2+5

x=7

so,

x=7 and y=2
