Hey here is your answer ❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️

X+y= 5

Add the -y both sides

X+y -y = 5 - y

x = -y+5

2) 2x -3y = 5

Add 3y to both sides

2x-3y+3y= 5 + 3 y

2x= 3y+5

Divide both sides by 2

2x/2 = 3y + 5 / 2

X = 3/2y+5/2

Hope it's helpful ✌️✌️✌️✌️✌️✌️✌️✌️✌️✌️✌️

Answer:

Given:

  • x+y=5 and ......equ(1)
  • 2x-3y = 5.......equ(2)

To find :

  •  value of 'x' and 'y'.

Pre- requisite knowledge:

Elimination method: In this method we would first eliminate one variable and the find the solution of the next.

Solution:

multiply 3 in equ(1)

⇒ 3x +3y = 15 .....equ((3)

equate equ(2) and equ(3)

⇒ 2x - 3y = 5

 3x  + 3y = 15

..............................

we get, 5x = 20

⇒ x  = 4

substitute this in equ(1)

⇒ x + y = 5

or , 4 + y = 5

⇒ y = 1

Therefore, the value of 'x' is 4 and that of 'y' is 1
