Answer:

x-y=5    ------(i)

x+y=15  ------(ii)

∴add equation (i) and (ii)

     x - y = 5

+    x + y = 15

----------------------

   2x + 0 = 20

∴ x = 20/2

∴ x = 10

∴putting this value of x in eqn (i)

∴x - y = 5

∴ 10 - y = 5

∴-y = 5- 10

∴ -y = -5

∴ y = 5

∴(x=10,y=5) is the solution of the given equation.
