x+y=5,x-y=7 by using simultaneous equation​

x+y=5.....(1)
x-y=7.......(2)
Adding 1 and 2,we get,
2x=12
x=12/2=6
Put value of x in 1 equation, we get
6+y=5
y=5-6=-1
Now, x=6 and y=-1
