Answer:

Y=4,X=3

Step-by-step explanation:

x+y=7

3x-2y=1

  1. Take the LCM of coefficient of x from both the equations
  2. Make x in both of the equations equal
  3. Multiply the whole equal by the LCM{3(x+y=7),and 2nd equation =3x-2y=1
  4. then subtract both of the equations
  5. 3x+3y=21-3x-2y=1
  6. after solving you will get the value of y
  7. substitute the value of y in eq.1 or eq.2,you will get the value of x.
