X=10/3

10/3+y=7

2x-y=3 — 2

using substitution method

x= 7-y

put value of x in 2

2(7-y)-y=3

14 - 2y -y = 3

14 -3y = 3

14-3 = 3y

11 = 3y

y = 11/3

put value of y in 1

x+11/3=7

x =7-11/3

x =10/3
