x+y=7
x-y =3
adding both equations
2x=10
x=5
put in equation 1
5+y=7
y=2

hiiii friend!!!

In the above question....

given :-

x +y = 7
and x-y = 3

to find :-
values of x and y

solve :-
let x +y =7 named as equation 1st
and x-y=3 be equation 2nd

now in equation 1st
x=7-y ( 3rd equation)
put value of x in equation
7-y-y =3
4 = 2y
y = 2

now, put value of y in 3quation 1st
x = 7-2
x = 5

thus, value of x is 5 and y is 2..
