1. Split into equation, first equation:

x+y-8/2 = x+2y-14/3

or, x-x-8/2+14/3 = 2y-y

or, (-12+14)/3 = y

or, y = 2/3

2. Second equation:

x+2y-14/3 = 3x+y-12/11

or, 2y-y-14/3+12/11 = 3x+x

or, y-14/3+12/11 = 2x

or, 2/3-14/3+12/11 = 2x

or, (22-154+26)/33 = 2x

or, x = 26/11
