Hi friend,

here is your answer

please follow me

Answer:

34

Step-by-step explanation:

x + y = 8

x = 8 - y .....(1)

xy = 15

(8-y)(y) = 15

-y^2 + 8y -15 = 0

y^2 - 8y + 15 = 0

y^2 - 5y - 3y + 15

(y-5)(y-3) = 0

y = 5,3....(2)

if y = 5 then, x = 3

if y = 3 then, x = 5

therefore, x^2 + y^2 = 5^2 + 3^2 = 25+9 = 34

hope it helps you and you understood
