x+y=9………….(1)

x-y=1…………..(2)

(1)+(2)

2x=10

x=5

putting x as 5 in equation (1)

5+y=9

y=9–5

y=4

x=5,y=4 ans.

x+y = 9 ------> (i)

x-y = 1 ------> (ii)

Adding (i) and (ii),

x+y+x-y = 9+1

2x = 10

x = 10/2

x = 5

Substituting x=5 in (i),

5+y = 9

y = 9-5

y = 4
