ax+by = (a-b)(a+b)
ax+by = (a-b)(x-y)
ax+by = (ax-ay-bx+by)
0 = -ay - bx

bx = -ay ----------> EQ(1)
x = -ay/b

then ;
x-y = a+b
-ay/b - y = a+b
-ay-by = ab + b^2

y = (a+b)b / - (a+b)

y = -b

then

x- y = a+b
x + b = a+b

x = a
