X,y and z are partners who shares profits in the ratio of 5:4:1 x retires and his share is taken up by y and z equally . Find the new profit sharing ratio and gaining ratio?

Taking common factor (a)

X's share = 5a
Y's share = 4a
Z's share = a

After x retires,

Y's share = 4a + 5a/2
= 13a/2

Z's share = a + 5a/2
= 7a/2

=>Y:Z = 13:7(Ans)
