Answer:

given,

X+Y+Z = 21000 ......1

X= Z+1000 ........2

Y = 2000+ Z ........3

profit is 16% on 21000 i.e.

= (21000×16)/100

= 3360

put value of X and Y in .......1

=>(Z+1000) + (Z+2000) + Z= 21000 ( open bracket)

=> 3Z + 3000 = 21000

=> 3Z = 21000 - 3000

=> 3Z = 18000 ( divide 18000 by 3)

=> Z= 6000

put Z= 6000 in .....2 and .....3

Y = 2000+ Z

= 2000 + 6000

now, Y = 8000

X = Z+1000

= 6000 + 1000

X= 7000

now we have value of X, Y and Z.

with this ratio of X:Y:Z is

= 7000: 8000 :6000

= 7: 8: 9

profit will also be distributed in same manner

X will receive= (3360× 7000) / 21000 = 1120

Y will receive =( 3360× 8000)/ 21000 = 1280

Z will receive = ( 3360× 6000) / 21000= 960
