Given : X,Y and Z together took a pasture ground on rent at Rs.16 per month with a view to graze their sheeps in this ground

X,Y and Z owned 70,50 and 40 sheeps respectively.

After 4 months X sold 2/7th portion of his sheeps to Y

and 3 months after that Z sold 2/5th portion of his sheeps to X

To Find : How much will each of them pay as rent after the end of a year

Solution:

X owned 70 for 4 months => 70 * 4 = 280

Y owned 50 for 4 month  => 50 * 4  = 200

X owned 70 - (2/7)* 70  = 50 for next 3 months => 50 * 3 = 150

Y owned 50 + (2/7)* 70  = 70  for next 8 months => 70 * 8 = 560

Z Owned for 4 + 3 = 7 months  = 40   => 40* 7 = 280

Z owned 40 -(2/5)40  = 24 form next 5 month = 24 * 5 = 120

X owned 50 + (2/5)* 40  = 66 for next 5 months => 66 * 5 = 330

X = 280 + 150 + 330  = 760

Y = 200 + 560  = 760

Z = 280 + 120  = 400

Total = 760 + 760 + 400 = 1920

Total Rent = 16 * 12  = 192

X will Pay = (760/1920) * 192  = 76 Rs

Y will Pay = (760/1920) * 192  = 76 Rs

Z will Pay = (400/1920) * 192  = 40 Rs

Rent paid  by X  and Y = 76 Rs   , by Z = Rs 40
