  = \frac{x - y}{3 + 1}  \times  \frac{x - y}{3 - 1}  \\  =  \frac{x - y}{4}  \times  \frac{x - y}{2}  \\  =   \frac{ {x}^{2} - 2xy +  {y}^{2}  }{8}
