x+y=-1 ..equ(1)

2x-3y=-5 ...equ(2)

multiply 2 with equ(1)

» 2x+2y=-2 ..equ(3)

Subtract (2) from (3)

» -5y=-3

y= 3/5

from ....(1) x = -1 -y

» x = -1 -3/5 = (-5-3)/5=-7/5
