x=−4/7 and y=2/5

Now,

x−y=−4/7−(2/5)

=−4/7−2/5

Taking L.C.M. we get,

=(−20−14)/35

=−34/35

And

y−x=2/5−(−4/7)

=2/5+4/7

Taking L.C.M. we get,

=(14+20)/35

=34/35

Therefore, x−y=y−x.
